...actually, the story that comes to mind is the other night when my son (age 21) whined to me for not putting gas in the car after using it and leaving it for him to fill....I usually do put gas in, but have been lazy about it lately 'cause I haven't gone too far in the car....after I sulked, briefly, for having been "whined" at, I agreed he was right and put some gas in the car for him...
(ha !) When your kids "correct" you, then you know you did a good job of raising them...
