Bass scales..............?!
Question: Bass scales!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!?
i just got a bass for christmas its a 5 string and sofar ive pretty much only been messing around on the low b string so i need to know some scales so i can play more stuff and get my fingers used to a bass if you could give me a website or something that would be helpfullWww@Enter-QA@Com

If you have no musical training whatsoever, go get bass lessons for a few years from a guy who understands young people!. Even if you do have some musical training, take lessons for a while to make sure that you work out the poor technique!. Self-taught guitarists are all sloppy and have very poor technique!. One of the great benefits of lessons is learning what NOT to do!. If you try to teach yourself, when you are fdown the line a few years and trying to gig, guys who had lessons will be platying rings around you because they will have a greater understanding of the entire piece of music!. Do odd jobs, get a little part time job, and lay a guilt trip on your folks!.!.!. you'll be able to put ogether the money!.!.and lessons can be FUN if you like the teacher!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
meh i dont like GNR or nirvana!. the way to really get good is to find an idol bassist that is amazing like Victor Wooten, John Pattituci, or John Myung!. play their stuff and practice it a lot, their music forces you to learn to play fast, learn all types of note patterns, keep the beat, and learn to play independently of others if necessary so that if the rest start messing up you can hold the tempo!. so find yourself an idol that is TRULY good at bass and start learning (AND NO 3CHORD BAND IDOLS)Www@Enter-QA@Com

learn how to hold your hands, pay the notes right!.
Instead of getting a lot of bad habits, that will be tuff to break
a teacher can show how to "think" like a bass player, develop good timing,
which is VERY important !
A bass player without excellent timing is useless,
How to listen to the drummer!.
You have to "lock in" with him!.
You 2 are the foundation, that the band builds it's music on!.
