How is it possible to enjoy Rap music then become a metalhead?!
Question: How is it possible to enjoy Rap music then become a metalhead!?
I used to love rap, but now it's tedious!. I went from rap to nu-metal!. Then I started liking hard rock, then heavy metal!. Now I love metalcore! How is it possible to make such an epic transition!? lol
When I hear rap I think to myself, "How did I even tolerate this!?"!.
Any ideas how I went from rap to metalcore!? Nu-metal is understandable and maybe hard rock, but metalcore!? I really don't know why I enjoy it so much lol!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It happened 2 mii bro, b4 he loved rap and now he's a complete metalhead who hates most rap!. I still listen 2 some rap, but metalcore & screamo kick a$$! It's kinda wierd, when I was in 4th grade, I listened to pop rock & emo, but then in 5th grade, I listened 2 rap & indian music but then, in the end of 6th grade, I went back 2 rock!. It all started 1 say when i was channel surfing & saw the vid 4 "Guys Like You Make Us Look Bad" on Fuse when i was channel surfing!. Thank god! B4 that, I was on the road 2 becoming a spoiled preppy b*tch--I'm not kidding! I was screaming @ mii mom 2 buy me a prada bag--but good music changed me 4 the better!. :) Who says that music can't save lives!?

It's all about how your tastes run at the time!. I started out with easy pop and disco, moved to glam and hard rock in the early eighties, on to Death Metal by the end of the eighties, then suddenly found myself listening to country in the nineties!. Nowadays I go back and forth between it all, listen to what I like and according to the mood I'm in!. Still can't stand rap however, I find that as a way for someone who can't sing or play an instrument to break into the industry, and a total cop out!. And some of the stuff I listened to as a teen, like Twisted Sister and such, I honestly have no idea what I was thinking!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Not sure what I can say about your transition, but I was raised on hard rock music, although the rest of my siblings prefer listening to rap/hip-hop/pop/r&b!.!.!.!.!.reggae/island music/cultural music!.!.!.!.
I can listen to almost anything and sometimes I'll like them, and sometimes not!. As for you, I believe that when you got your electric guitar, you started listening to rock music, because it's used so often in that genre!.
The more you listened, it opened you up to that rhythm and you got hooked!.!.!.!.because there is such a huge difference in the music, between rap and metal-core!.!.!.!.I can listen to both!.!.!.!.but there are still some new music in the metal-core that I can't tolerate!. I appreciate the music, but sometimes, when there is a guy screeching too much, it gets to me!.!.!.!.lol!.!.!.!.I like the old school rock/heavy metal music and songs because I felt it was more pure!.!.!.!.they're just as good live!.!.!.!.
The hard core rap about political things and murder is too much for me!.!.!.!.I just try to balance out the music I listen to!. I don't want to desensitize my mind too much!

Here is how it happened to me!. I liked rap and rock!. I loved linkin park, that was the first step!. Nu Metal and alternitive metal!. I wanted something a little harder from there and moved to metalcore!. Bands that for the most part still did clean vocals but some screams and growls!. ie Bullet for my valentine!. Then I moved to more intense metalcore!. ie As I Lay Dying!. From there I split off into power metal when I discovered it and that took me into harder power metal mixed with melodic death, children of bodom type stuff!. Then I was into melodic death!. ie Amon Amarth!. From there I went into death, black, and folk!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
you didn't make an "epic" translation you eased yourself into!. Bands that are numetal Slipknot, Disturbed, Korn are all associated with 'rapping' They have a fast beat and fast lyrics as rap does!. Then upon growing out and finding better bands you move on to heavier deeper stuff!. I love metal!. The heavy blasphemous head poundingly good deep metal!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
i used to listen to linkin park and crap like that before I started listening to prog metal!. now its almost an unbearable urge to punch anyone who listens to, "3chord bands" or rap

I guess it's because of today's rap!. It sucks!. No really it sucks!. IT SUCKS! HAHA!. Or maybe because everyone's taste in music eventually evolves!. I used to listen to some corny, poppy, mainstream crap!. Now I'm more into the folksy, indie artists and what not!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
