people are haters in general!. whatever the cause!. trust me cause if westcoast was blowing up again or eastcoast was blowing up vice versa someone would always have something negative to say!. i live in ny and i aint mad at the south souljaboy or anyone they making fun music and money!.you cant always make ice grill music all the time and never smile!. ny rappers dont make fun music they too worried about how hard they look or sound!.i like ludas verse on the"i do it for hip-hop" Www@Enter-QA@Com
Most of 'em are just haters!. I've seen people come on here talkin about how wack and overrated Scarface is!. That's crazy! I don't like a lot of the mainstream southern sh*t, but I don't like mainstream rap from anywhere, so who am I to diss a whole part of the map because of the limited sh*t I get to hear (Lil Wayne, etc!.) since I'm not from the south!. I hear people say the East is wack and it fell off, but I'm from BK and have access to a lot of East coast mixtapes (not mixtapes that you can download, but real mixtapes) most people don't get to hear!. Same way I'm probably missin out on a lot of good underground from the south!. Unless you heard it all, you can't knock it, and no one's heard it all!Www@Enter-QA@Com
Because people don't know anything but what they see on TV!. Even the people that LIKE South music, they still don't know anything but what they see on TV!. Example - the first girl who responded said "I Like Ludacris!" I like him too, but he's still what's shown on BET!. The next girl said that South is all about dance music, but that's so stupid!. That's just the pop crap that they show on TV that makes everyone THINK the south is lame!. That dance music is aiight sometimes but it's not a a good example of what southern rap is all about, and she's wrong - the south does talk A LOT about killin and **** like that!.
My point is like this: people only know what they see on TV and are usually too stupid to go try to listen to other stuff, or they aren't from the hood where pretty much everyone knows south music!. I don't know that they are closed minded for not liking it!. Maybe they are!. I just don't like it!. It's not very appealing!. And I'm from Alabama!. I listen to old school East & West Coast rap!. 1987-1999!. Then from 2000's is Nas, Bishop Lamont, Jay-Z, Hood Surgeon, Immortal Technique, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Bushido (Germany), DMX & Ice Cube!. Eventually the South will overpeak and people will lose intrest!. That's what happened to the West Coast and East Coast!. People didn't lose intrest it just didn't enter the charts at #1 or in the top 10!. Then it'll come back to the East or West Coast!. It's a cycle that's gonna happen!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Mainly because the majority of mainstream Southern hip-hop is "snap music" and it ends up dominating the charts and then people say it "gives hip-hop a bad name"!.
