Overall I liked the video!. I can't really say I was completely floored by it or anything like that!. I think it had great black and white photography to it, but little visual substance in the way of connecting it's artist back to the the subject of the video, which seems to be about world poverty and child abandonment issues!. Unless of course one was to take Leona Lewis as a metaphor for God in the video, then it kind of makes sense that she is saying she will always be there (like an omnipresent God), but there does seem be dis-empowered disconnect in that metaphor because during the span of the song there seems to be two or more narrators speaking!. One with a personal bent who seems to be a fallen sinner, which if I'm not mistaken is supposed to be represented by the children and other people in the video, and the other with a God voice all knowing all loving, but by having Lewis sing as both voices (the God voice and the sinner voice) it seems to me that it is further removing the possibility of discourse between God and his people, because he is talking for them!. Which to me as a Christian just seems silly!. Because God really wants you talk to him honestly and be able to be open with him and he doesn't necessarily always want you to have the dominated position in a relationship with him, which to me is what the video in a backhanded way is saying, that rather than God looking upon us with a sense of compassion and love he is looking down upon us from far away and is rather unmoved!. Which is really what the subtext of the video is if you were to take Leona Lewis as a metaphor for God!. She is absent from the world and non inclusive and kind of distant!. She's not on the front lines of what is happening with her creatures!. I don't know about you but personally I don't worship a God like that!. I worship a God who is always there physically present, even if I don't see him,her,it and always world inclusive of the events that are befalling me and others and who very much is living with us and is not in some far away box or void, much like Leona is in that video!. Other than those concerns I have expressed towards the video, I liked it, but not enough to ever really want to search for it again or watch it!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
