Question: If Hawthorne Heights does a song that sounds like an AFI song, does it violate copy wright laws!?
Just to clarify - I'm asking for my cousin who won't sign in to his own account and do it himself!. =] I'm not sure who came out with which song first, but there are a lot of similarities to both songs!. At what point does it stop being the same artistic views and starts being a copy wright or plagiarism issue!?

The problem is not if it sounds a like, but if they can prove that one song is the basis for the other!. Say if the AFI song is the older, AFI the band would need to prove that the song HH wrote was either sampling their own music or exactly like their own!. I can think of a lot of songs that "sound the same" but sounding the same isn't the basis for litigation, only if the song IS the same!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
