Any tips on songwriting?!
Question: Any tips on songwriting!?
i play guitar banjo and mandolin, but i jsut cand come up with words and when i do i cant arrange them well enough!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

What I do is first get a theme first (almost like an essay)!.
-Next I sometimes turn it into a poem of some sorts (or you can just do whatever)!. And once you have a theme and at least something written up then begin making your song!.
The human brain seems to work better when they have words which afterwards they can connect to music!. So for you to write the music and then come up with words is really hard!.
(I'm guessing your all set with the music writing, but if you need a music writing program I sometimes use: Pizzicato)
Although for most people they work better going from words to music, some work better the other way!. So if I were you I'd try both and see how it works out!. But either way just write something, and then look over it and you may change it completely!. But if you can look at something and go from there that could help!. Maybe start with something you love, those are the easiest, real sappy songs!.
Overall you really just need to have a topic, maybe make a list of good ideas and choose one!?

I'm a song writer and i do this for my friends and myself so, i know i can help you what you gotta do is just start out by humming some words that would go along with the beat and/or melody and see if you like it if so, sound out the words if not, hum some different words like i write songs based on my personality and life and that's how i come up with my songs but, for my friends i do it based on their personality and i ask them what they look for in a song like does it have to mean something to themWww@Enter-QA@Com
All you really have to do is think of what you enjoy/ what you think of someone, and also put that to music and keep practicing!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
