Hey, I'm 16 years old and this is the first time I've written a song!. This is for an english project!. Sorry for any spelling mistakes!.

The big wigs on top won’t let us freely speak
Isn’t it “rights and freedoms” that our parents teach!?
My generation’s thoughts and opinions are being impeached
When will gays and lesbians stop being jailed, for free speech!?
Governments amass say our economy is in check
As long as they’re being paid and receive their cheque
The war is raging, but we hear it’s safe and troops will depart
But it’s all a lie, yet we’ve believed them from the ******* start
Can’t express, or end up on the streets as a total mess
Can’t judge, opinionate or elaborate
Can’t discuss, Can’t cuss, not even fuss
Can’t feel, share, or even care with the big wigs on top on a tear
The test of democracy is freedom of criticism
It feels like my life revolves around fascism
You can’t do this, you can’t do that
We still haven’t changed, and that’s a fact
Can’t express, or end up on the streets as a total mess
Can’t judge, opinionate or elaborate
Can’t discuss, Can’t cuss, not even fuss
Can’t feel, share, or even care with the big wigs on top on a tear
You can cage the singer, but not the song
You can limit the protests, but not for long
You can censor book covers and magazines
They say a mind soiled from profanity can never be clean
In matter of fact, that’s obscene
