What is your favorite Joe Walsh song?!
Question: What is your favorite Joe Walsh song!?
Answers:
Rocky Mountain Way and Life's Been Good!Www@Enter-QA@Com
With 'The James Gang' I have several favorite songs, and albums!. My favorite album by them featuring Joe Walsh (there were four) is 'Rides Again', second favorite would be 'In Concert'!.
My favorite song, if I had to chose one would be 'The Bomber'!. It's their magnum opus, and showcases some great guitar work!. Especially the mid section where Joe pays an homage of sorts to Jeff Beck and Maurice Ravel, with his rendition of Bolero!. For years the Bolero section of 'The Bomber' was deleted from the 'Rides Again' album due to some legal hassles!. Only the first few thousand copies of the LP had the Bolero, so not many people during the 70's got to hear "The Bomber" the way it was meant to be heard!. Since then it's been reissued on CD so fans can hear the suite in it's entirety!.

Walk Away, Funk #49, Tend My Garden and Closet Queen are a few other favorites by The James Gang as well!.!.!.

Their version of Buffalo Springfield's 'Bluebird' was great too!.
His short lived band 'Barnstorm' which was formed after his departure from The James Gang is worth mentioning as well!. Their sole album (self titled) is one of my personal favorites!. 'Mother Says', and 'Turned to Stone' are excellent songs, and can hold a candle to anything he did with The James Gang!. 'Turn To Stone' also appeared on Joe's 2nd solo album titled 'So What' (different version though)!.
Some people consider the Barnstorm album an actual Joe Walsh solo album!. Musicians from this band continued to back Joe on several of his subsequent releases as a solo artist!.
From Joe's career as a solo artist, I also have several favorite songs!.!.!.
Welcome to the Club

At the Station
Falling Down

Not sure why someone gave 'Dan The Brickman' thumbs down, as 'Funk #48' was an actual song (though lesser known by some), and predated their hit 'Funk # 49'!. It appeared on The James Gangs 1st album titled 'Yer Album'!. Great song too: http://www!.youtube!.com/watch!?v=vkZepbHIr!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
