Question: Why do you think YahooAnswers doesn't have a Metal category under music!. Why must we go to rock and pop!?

Because if they had a metal section, the Rock And Pop section would become overpopulated with Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus fans!.
It's like they are the mice, and we are the cats!. We'd much rather be outside than contained in this hellhole with the mice, but it does provide entertainment when you get a question like, "WHO LIKEZ JONAS BROSS!?!? <3"
Seriously though, they should at least seperate rock and pop!. Pop = Brittney Rock = Zeppelin
also, old school 80's metal all the way, man!. I love thrash - old Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth especially!. Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Ratt, Van Halen - they are all up there too, cept not in the "thrash" catergorey!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yes you are right but remember heavy metal came from rock and rock came from blues and blues came from jazz and jazz came from african music!.!.!.

Because Y/A its not only about the music, its about many other subjects and that's why I guess they considered that rock and pop cover it all , but you're right it should have this category, after all the Country Music section exists

You might just as well ask why it doesn't have a folk or punk section!. I personally would like it to have a 70s progressive rock section!. To have all these categories and sub-categories would take up loads of space and make it look like the aisle of an HMV shop!.

There is no metal catagory because we are too hardcore to be singled out, so they try to mellow us down by filing us under Rock & Pop to their own personal amusment!.
