The Name's Bond....James Bond?!

I was so disappointed by Quantum of Solace!. I need to change my avatar!. I LOVED Casino Royale!. In "Quantum," Daniel Craig continued to be an fantastic, intense Bond, but otherwise!.!.!. meh!. It was more of a "Royale" extended epilogue/afterthought than its own unique movie!. The villain was so bland (a pity since Mathieu Amalric is a tremendous talent) and the Bolivian water plot was pathetic!. It also felt, in general, very truncated -- a 106 minute race from one action scene to the next with no real identity or reason to exist!. I will admit the action was impressive (though "Royale" had more memorable action sequences)!. Oh, it was also WAY too obvious EON Productions was trying to ape Matt Damon's terrific "Bourne" trilogy!. The Haiti-set scenes (hotel fight, Bond on motorcycle) lifted SO many visuals and ideas from The Bourne Ultimatum!.

I apologize for the rant!. I went in with high expectations and was disappointed the movie (except for Craig) wasn't very good!. /end of rant lol
