NOT Ralph Vaughn Williams - he was born in 1872! This piece has been around since medieval times - before major and minor keys were well established - hence its unusual sharps/flats throughout!. I don't think we will ever know the true composer for sure!.!.!. but there is no doubt it is beautiful!.
