Question: Did Bartok wrote etudes!?
What the title says!.!.!.I recently became interested in Bartok but I was wondering if he wrote etude for piano and I heard that his Allegro Barbaro is an etude!.!.!.Can anyone clarify this for me!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
Answers:
Allegro Barbaro is not an etude!. Its more commonly known as "Allegro Barbaric" as the entire piece has a pianist bang big chords!. Dynamically the entire thing is quadruple fortissimo and is a quite annoying as the sound is harsh and ugly!.
Bartok did write 3 etudes and they are titled Etudes Op!. 18!.
These etudes are rhythmically brutal and quite challenging!. However they are a lot of fun to work on!. I enjoyed working on these etudes and they definitely help towards understanding the intricacies of Bartok's music!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
