What starting equipment should I buy to start guitar?!

Question: What starting equipment should I buy to start guitar!?
My budget is around $800!. I messed around with guitar off and on a while ago but quit partially due to loss of interest and part to crappy equipment!.

Anyway, I want to pick it up again!. I just want a decent electric guitar, amp, and anything else I need to get some different sounds!.

I'd like a guitar/amp combo that would allow me to do some tapping!. I had a Peavey guitar and amp before and could not tap with it for some reason!. I tried to tap on my friend's guitar, and it was easy!.

Some sounds I'd like to play are Van Halen, Ozzy, maybe Hinder, and some others along those lines!.

Yes

Go to a local music store that has a good guitar tech,
he can help you make sure that you find the right guitar for YOU,
and have it set up properly, so that it plays easily, low action,
no buzzing

you can make sure that it "taps" the way you want, because you will play YOUR guitar BEFORE you buy it, this time!.

A good store can help you pick out the right equipment for YOU,
they can watch you play, and you can tell the the style of music you like,

What works for the next guy, may NOT work for you,

Go down to your local guitar shop, they sell combo packs with an amp and different levels of guitars based on your price range!. The advice they can give should be much better than most people on this site!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
