I usually create it while I write!.
I use emphasis on certain words to create a chord change!.
So say if the lines were
"and I only thought of you"
if I wanted a calm soothing feel to the song, I'd do a chord change on "of" to a lower octave or just a softer/flatter note!. I don't know musical sheet, but I still count to four, so I know when to start over!. Idk, its really complicated how I do it!. But it works!.
I guess, in two sentences this is what I do:
While I write, I come up with different pitches for emphasis, then convert those to chords on the guitar!. Whilst doing that, I count to four to create a good time, to know when to start a new measure, or repeat what I playedWww@Enter-QA@Com

I use simple chords on the keyboard, then change them at different parts like at the chorus I'd go high pitch then on verses low!. I play around with the keys and generally write the lyrics and chords as I go along!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
