Question: Can you really hate on T-Pain for using autotuner!?
Before everyone started abusing it repeatedly T-Pain was the one who had rediscovered it and first used it in modern rap!.

T-Pain took a product [auto-tune] (used to help re-tune small mistakes in an artist voice by tweaking pitch) and Used it in a way that now one in Hip Hop/R&B had done (don't mistake it with the "computer love" vocoder used a lot by Roger Troutman, that's a whole different instrument!.
He wanted to set his self apart and do something different then everybody else, and was successful!. Some might say he has "no true talent" but that's not true at all! Not everybody can use Auto-Tune, u gotta be able to at least "carry a tune" a little!. T-Pain also writes and produces (makes the beats) for almost every song he does!. People want him on their song because he makes them hits!
Now everybody else is using it, so I guess he's created a whole new style of the genre!. Snoop, Kanye, Lil' Wayne, Baby-Bash, and even R&B artist (that you know can sing!) have used it and created multi-platnum songs & albums!. So it shows people like it!.
It's 2008, people are using computers to make their voices sound different or better, It's just a sign of the times!. I'm a producer myself, so I've used it!.
