Question: Is anyone else waiting for a new Jimmy Buffett album!?
I've been waiting for it since the release of Live at Anguilla!. Does anyoen know anything about another album!?

I haven' heard!.Seems like he has a studio album every 3 to 5 years and 15 live ones in between!.He's not a young parrot head anymore either,lol
EDIT-I also agree somewhat with 'isawmarty' on his covers!.Some of them I like, but some are just bad!.But again, he's over 60 yrs old now!. I also think his last real good studio album was Floridays as far as all of the songs on it being good!.Since then it's been hit and miss!.What I would love to see sometime before he gets TOO old is a live cd/dvd with just him and maybe Mac Mcanaly doing a stripped down acoustic show with just guitars,busting out the classics!.
Anyway you look at it the man is a successful artist,author,pilot,businessman and movie producer,and one of the most underrated musicians of all-time!.You can't take that away from him!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Honestly!? No, I'm not!. He's gone to releasing a live album every year of his summer tour, and he's taken to doing a lot of covers -- a lot of very POOR covers, too, I might add!. His rendition of "The Tiki Bar is Open" is horrid, and Stephen Stills should sue him for what he did to "Southern Cross!."
I don't know what's happened to Buffett!. He used to do marvelous covers (notably his beautiful rendition of Steve Goodman's "California Promises")!. It seems he "jumped the shark" in covers when he covered Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl" on "One Particular Harbour!."
And don't even get me started on Buffett's rendition of "Hey Good Lookin'!." The Replacements' version was closer to Hank's original, and they were a drunk punk band!Www@Enter-QA@Com
