What's the difference between a Floyd Rose and a 'Licensed' Floyd Ro!


Question: What's the difference between a Floyd Rose and a 'Licensed' Floyd Rose!?
Today, I bought a Jackson DK2, and it has a Licensed Floyd rose tremolo on it, I was told that it and Floyd Rose are different!.!. what exactly is the difference between them!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

The licensed FR is a very good setup!. The only significant difference between the two is that the licensed FR uses a different metal than the Original FR, I think the Original FR is tempered steel, which makes it incredibly strong!. Other than that though, there is no significant difference!. It's the same setups, the ball ends of the strings get clipped off and locked in, and you are good to go!. Have fun with it dude!.

Manic brings up a good point as well!. Only Original FR's are made by Floyd Rose!. Other license FR's are outsourced and made elsewhere!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Licensed Floyd Roses arent really made by Floyd Rose, they are made under the Floyd Rose patent by a different company but everything is still the same as dude said above
