Well about 90% of music from the 70's was about drugs and sex since at unlike the 60's the Vietnam War wasn't going the whole time so there wasn't as much politics in music, and people kind of let loose and had fun
The remaining 10% were about rebellion, politics, revolution and all that good musical stuff!. The whole purity rings I don't do drugs thing never even would have had a hope of existing in the 70's since more than 60% of teenagers in the 70's smoked pot and a lot more were having sex!. Your question/comment hit the spot!. I know of people that listen to this kind of music and wear those rings!. They say they are 'pure' but then when no one is looking they are boinking everyone in town and telling you that you are going to hell!. It seems like there is no just being who you are, everything is a Grand Illusion!. I shudder to think what would have happened if artists from the 70's wore 'purity rings'!. Well, rock star is hardly simultaneous with chastity is it, lmao!. Those days, Disney Channel didn't do music, it stuck to its cartoons (which it still should stick to!)!.
But if those bands had worn purity rings, they probably wouldn't have whinged about it every day like The Jonas fags do!. Those bands were talented, original - people cared about the music the most!. Look at Freddie Mercury - being gay wasn't well accepted in the 70s/80s, but people loved him for the music!.

I wouldn't care because those bands had talent and actually stood for something!. I definitely think most bands would still be loved and respected granted it would have definitely tooken time to get used to!. People would eventually except it!. Like I stated earlier these bands had talent they are legends and they wrote music that meant something!. So yeah it would have not mattered to me at all one bit!.
