The Everly Brothers are heroes here in Kentucky!. They are in both the Country AND Rock halls of fame!. They hail from Muhlenberg County, Kentucky (which John Prine made famous in his song "Paradise"), and they have concerts every year in their home town of Central City (which has an Everly Brothers Boulevard) to raise money for scholarships!. Ike Everly, their father, was a great thumb picking style guitarist (listen to Merle Travis or Chet Atkins to hear what that souns like, it's very unique and very rare)!.

My favorite Everly Brothers songs are "All I Have to Do is Dream," "Claudette" (I still have the 45, which my parents bought, of those two songs on the old Candance label!), "I Wonder If I Care as Much," and "Let It Be Me!."

Trivia: Warren Zevon, best-known for "Werewolves of London," was their piano player/band leader when the Everly Brothers toured in the late 60s/early 70s!. When the Everlys split, Warren produced some of Phil's solo albums on RCA Records!. Zevon's song, "Frank and Jesse James," was written about the Everly Brothers, and the line "he took little Suzie to the junior prom" in "Excitable Boy" was a nod to his time with them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I love The Everly Brothers!

I grew up listening to all these artists from the 50's and 60's!. The Everly Brothers Greatest Hits CD was on regular rotation at my house!.
I knew all the words to all of their songs before I was 5 years old!.

My favorite song by them is Wake Up Little Susie, or maybe Bye Bye Love!. I love them both, I can't pick a favorite!.

It's amazing that you discovered them, hopefully more people will learn to appreciate them and other similar artists!.

Great Question!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Of course, they are def one of my other bands that I have always learned to like not only because of them sounding like The Beatles, but because I think that they had talent just like The Beatles did and I can see why they influenced The Beatles the way that they did because they were friends and they were both from England:) My fave Everly Brother's songs are: "Bye, Bye Love", "Cathy's Clown" and "Til I Kissed You" and "Wake Up Little Susie"!. Hope I helped=)Www@Enter-QA@Com

My mum is an Everly Brothers fan, and they have a connection to Fleetwood Mac!.!.!.

Songs I like :~
Bye Bye Love
All I Have to Do is Dream
When Will I Be Loved
Till I Kissed You
Wake Up Little Susie
Bird Dog
Walk Right Back

Don Everly's daughter, Erin, was Axl Rose's first wife, and he was inspired to write 'Sweet Child O' Mine' about her!.

After recording "Buckingham Nicks", and before joining Fleetwood Mac, Lindsey Buckingham toured with Don Everly's band, singing Phil Everly's parts in the songs!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

The Everly Brothers have some great songs!
Phil Everly did a song with Cliff Richard, called She Means Nothing To Me!. I am attaching a very dated (but amusing) clip from You Tube - from UK Top of the Pops!. Apparently Mark Knopfler played guitar for this song!.
