To answer this question thoroughly i will put my biasness behind me, and say "Not even close!.!.!." Now i know what you thinking, an obvious "rock" fan and you would be right, but i listen to all kinds of music, and will listen to anything once!.!.!.!.I think that this competition wouldn't be even close just because of time!.!.!. yes, TIME!.!.!.Rap is a baby compared to rock!.!.!.!.!.Rock has been around for hundreds of years, while rap only 20 to 30 years, so experience along give rock the advantage!.!.!.also "many" (Not All) rap especially newer stuff has just got ignorant!.!.!.no meaning at all!.!.!.they just list off all of there cars, houses, bitches, and say YEA YEA about 17,000 times!.!.!.!.and boom PLATINUM HIT(And more car to sing about)!. Don't get me wrong i like rap but lets a least put some effort in the millions of albums you sell!.!.!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
Everyone will have their own opinion on this matter!. It just depends what your preference is!. The fact is that both genres has made a massive impact on the world and in my opinion, the early days of both Rock & Hip-Hop was much better than whats fed to you on the TV and radio today!.
There will never be another Guns n Roses, Jimi Hendrix, NWA or Tupac Shakur!. They made timeless and legendary music that has paved the way for many new music artists today!.
