Question: Bay Area Hip Hop Influence!?
Why don't artists like Mac Dre, E-40, Messy Marv, etc!. get credit for their contributions to Hip Hop!? There are several popular words in our culture today that originated from Bay Area cats as well as the Hyphy movement but people don't seem to be up on them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

that's exactly what i've been thinking for a while now!. the bay doesn't get as much shine as they deserve!. although in my own opinion the new bay area stuff can't compare to the older stuff!. i just bought Mac Dre's album Back N Da Hood a few weeks ago and despite it being recorded from Fresno County Jail, it's still a good album!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Same reason tha liks don't get enough credit!. For some reason, it seems like the artists on the east coast who are the most talented get the most props, but on the west coast it seems like the artists who are relatively some of the least talented get the most props, IDK why this is!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree Sag!.They dont get credit becuase maybe of the fact tat Hyphy hasnt gon national yet,and so the movement itself is not that popular,so if the movement itself is not popular,they movement's rappers will not be popular either!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I lived my entire life about an hour away from the Bay!. Everyone here who raps reps the Hyphy movement!. Trust me when I say them not getting credit is a good thing!. All that Hyphy sh-t is the dumbest form of entertainment in music!. Yadidimean!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I live in the Bay Area but trust me Slaps and Hyphy was only popular for a year but it's kind of faded now and it's not cool any more, so most people just listen to main streamWww@Enter-QA@Com
