Heyyy,
The kit looks reasonable but there are many shops in the united kingdom where you can walk in an get advice from a real person!. It sometimes is better that seeing a picture!. also to start with drumming first take it realll slow!. also developing rudiments which are sort of like guitar scales in a way helps build stamina as well as wrist strenght and speed!. Search Google for drum rudiments and pick up a practice pad maybe before a drum kit so you know what your in for before you commit to buying a kit!. Your iPod/Mp3 player/ music source is also a vital tool because you can play along to songs and learn new rythmns that way!. Try things out and be creative!. Hope it helps!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I play keyboards professionally and like you I always wanted to have a crack at drums!. The missus bought me a set made by John Hornby Skews, a cheapy when compared to the big name kits (about £250!.00) but a pillow in the bass drum and the toms flattened off with blu-tack to deaden the resonance and they sound damn good for a novice just starting out!. If I take to them I'll improve the set-up but as a beginners basic kit I have no complaints!.
There's no point me giving you advice on playing the things !.!.!. I'm more likely to be taking advice from others on here!. Best of luck!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I've been a drummer for almost 30 years!. The first thing you want to do is work on basic beats!. It's hard to explain without showing you!. Go to youtube!.com and type in, Basic Drumming!. You should find stuff there that will help!. I taught myself by trying to play, old Rush, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin songs!. It worked out pretty good!. To hear me go to myspace!.com/analogcrash!. That's my band in Durham,NC!.
Good Luck,
