From what I read from the lyrics, I don't see either of those explanations as the true meaning (this is interpretation, but I believe it's more accurate than abortion!.!.!.)

From what I get from it, it's about someone finally telling someone they love them after holding it back for so long because they feared the reaction!. "Love is a doing word, fearless on my breath" and the rest of the first verse makes it seem as if she has finally said the word and it feels right!. It "made her lighter" once she said it, as if a weight was lifted!.

"Teardrop on the fire" would seem to explain that the initial fear of saying the word (and possibly shedding tears as she said it) wasn't enough to extinguish the true passion she felt (a teardrop on the fire wouldn't be enough to nearly extinguish it)!.

When referring to night and "black flowers blossom", I think it's more about being lost when you don't admit to your true feelings of love and you're stumbling around in the dark trying to find the light!. Black flowers blossoming would be like the darkness finding the light and blooming!.

"Water is my eye,
Most faithful mirror!.
Fearless on my breath!.
Teardrop on the fire of a confession!."

Water again referring to the tears shed out of fear of the confession of love, and the mirror about self-searching and realizing your true feelings!.

I hope this helps!Www@Enter-QA@Com
