Well seeing as he pretty much invented modern alternative guitar playing on his own yes!. I mean sure he's not flashy, but the lines he made are timeless!.

I don't know about the top 25 (there are just so many great guitarists), but I would give you 50, and I certainly acknowledge that he is underappreciated!. He was such a big part of the whole Smiths (although, not to undersell one of the better rhythm sections I've heard) thing and was so influential!. He, kind of similarly to Joey Santiago, is not nearly as appreciated as he should beWww@Enter-QA@Com
