I don't agree with the people here that say he is the best white rapper!. I do agree that he is the most successful!. Eminem has been around for a long long time!. He has a lot of street cred from back in the day (Scribble Jam '97!.!.!.!.Eminem vs!. Juice)!. But, as time passed he moved into the mainstream and became known worldwide!. His success and popularity being a white MC created a standard by which we view white hip hip artists!. The hip hop listeners then associsate Eminem with white rappers!. I don't think Eminem is the best white rapper!. There are many out there!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Eyedea, Jedi Mind Tricks, Lil White, Kottonmouth Kings, Necro, Slug, Sage Francis, Aesop Rock, Kno from Cunninglynguists, etc!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

For some reason the Beastie Boys don't get much mention, even though they've had huge success and been cited as infuences by a few rappers!. Maybe it's partly the fact they're in a group, partly the fact that Eminem has such huge crossover appeal and partly that he is a better lyricist than them!.
There are other arguably more talented white rappers (Aesop Rock, Sage Francis, Brother Ali etc,) but they don't have the same fame and commercial success!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

There's never been such a thing as one artist setting the standards!. This is suppose to be an ever-progressing art!. If every body does the "standard" then where's the element of surprise!?
