I think so!. This guitar has great pick ups for solos and power chords, and it has a smooth fret board for sliding!. There really isn't a difference between them it is just the color, inlays, different brand of pickups!. My cousin has the Black SG g400 and it sounds greatWww@Enter-QA@Com
