Yes! The Beatles were an amazing timeless band but people tend to uphold them like gods and not form individual opinions of songs and albums, or the fact that some people are just as good or better than them!.

BQ: Maybe Janis, Jim ,Jimi, Kurt, John, Bonzo, Syd and all the others are better of dead!. At least they went out in a blaze of glory instead of becoming pathetic old fools like Mick Jagger, and most other musicians who don't realize that the genius can't last forever

it's hard to compare the 2 because they play to very different styles of music!. really in a way the velvet underground is like the beatles of punk!.
i think they could hold there own against the beatles!. even thought there music is so different!.

eh!. if the beatles were to appear right now, with out ever showing up in the 60's, they wouldn't be nearly as popular as they were!.
