Yes you can still buy some new ones, some artist are releasing some of there music that way!.
Yes I have over 3000 Lps in my collection!. 80% from when I was growing up in the late 50,s all the way through to now!. And are 90% still in good shape!.
I also have a friend who has over 30,000 lps, he used to be on here and went by the name Smiley!. And the trolls got him suspended and I miss his answers and insight into the music world, he was a D J who worked all around the world!. As many people here in R&P can testify he was great with his answers and Questions!. One good thing him and I have become good friends, so we do keep in touch with e-mail!. I hope he comes back!.

I actually answered a question on here earlier about Black Sabbath's Born Again album, It was in regard to the Tony Iommi solo on the last track!. I hadn't heard that album in many years and so had a rummage in the loft and was listening to it about an hour ago!.
I still have about 100 LP's and probably 400-500 singles and a crappy turntable to play them on!. Can't remember the last time I played vinyl before tonight though!. I didn't actually realize I still had as many as this which I hadn't bought on CD!. This is going to cost me a fortune to update all these!. It just seems really weird hearing that speaker distortion and scratches when you're so used to CD quality, often remastered!. I've got most of Zeppelin's up there, they'll be getting a play tomorrow (educate the kids lol)!.
Got one for you - Had you forgotten about picture disks!? I've got W!.A!.S!.P!.'s The Real Me and 'Maiden's The Clairvoyant up there!. They might well be going on the wall tomorrow lol!.

Good question!. I owned many prior to the advent of CDs!. I still own a very good turntable and every once in awhile I will pick one up!. The last three I purchased I was not happy with due to surface noise even though they were supposedly virgin 180 gram vinyl!. At this point I am cautious about buying any in the future!. They don't make vinyl anymore but i do have a little over 700 albums mostly collector items!.And a S*it load of 45's lost count on them i have at least 30 rare ones!.And around 20-25 8 tracks!.They all still play like they did when i got them no scratches no warps and no skipping!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
