For those who listen to rock...?!
Question: For those who listen to rock!.!.!.!?
Why don't most of you not like country music!? It has the same roots as rock!. And those who listen to metal- it has the same roots as rock which has the same roots of country!. And I'm talking about real country music!. Not this new pop-country hits!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The main reason that I avoid Country music is that it tends to focus on relationships between couples, falling in and out of love, divorce!.!.!. that kind of thing!.!.!. Sure, Rock or Metal is full of cliche's too, but for me music is something to get lost in and not something that I wallow in!. I mean if my heart just got broken, I do not want to listen to a song about heartache!.!.!.!. A lot of the songs that I like don't have an impact on what I am going through in real life!.!.!. It is not like "Man on the Silver Mountain" reminds me of some girl that I let slip though my fingers, or the dog I had that died when I was 12!. In my opinion the inroads country music has made over the past 15 years have more to do with Country trying to sound Pop or Rock and less like Country and Western!.!.!. I mean is Shania Twain really a Country artist!? Is Faith Hill really a Country artist!? Carrie Underwood!? I do not think so!.!.!. Keith Urban is a lot closer to John Mayer than he is to George Jones or Randy Travis!.!.!.!. I do not have anything against Country music!.!.!. It just ain't my thing!.!.!. still better than no music at all though!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Johnny Cash is pretty much amazing to me!. "A Boy Named Sue" "The Ballad of Ira Hayes" are my favorite country songs!.!.!.

Same roots don't matter!. That is like saying that you and your sister have the same roots, why don't I like her!. You are both different!. I personally find some old country likeable, but others are way too whiny for me!. Same with Rock though, some songs/artists I like, some I don't!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
It has something to do with how well it relates to my life, which, isn't much at all!. Now, country music is good, but the older stuff can be more depressing then emo at times, and the new stuff is far too pop oriented to be compared to the stuff of the past!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
I'm not really partial to country!.!.but, having said that, I LOVE Kris Kristopherson, I can't get enough of him! I especially like "The Silver-Tongued Devil", "Why Me Lord", & "Sunday Morning Comin' Down"!. I also like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Willie Nelson!.!.THE HIGHWAY MEN!!! Because I'm not a redneck!. I only like country songs that sound heavier or have good lyrics!. The only artist that comes close to country that I do enjoy listening to is Elvis, although he has a lot of blues in his music as well!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
