You kinda' had to live through it!. The only thing I can suggest is get yourself some cds of say, Cream, Beatles' White Album, The Who, Rolling Stones (later than 1965), etc!., and/or look up these or similar bands' lyrics at lyrics websites!. The magnitude of the artists and their lyrics is just enormous!. You also need to look up folk artists and bands of the 1960s--Peter Paul and Mary,Pete Seeger, etc!., and that greatest of all 60's artists: BOB DYLAN!. You really have to gain a considerable knowledge of almost ALL genres of music that came before the "psychedelic" era!. Much of that 1960's music was drug use related but much of it also was influenced by previous activist folk musicians who sang about radical social change!. That's why their lyrics seem so 'epic' to you!. The music reflected the massive social movement of that generation!. It's hard to recapture, if not impossible, because it was such a literal 'movement' of 'the people'!. There was no Internet for communication, it was all primitive media (TV, RADIO) and word of mouth in communities of young college people and social 'dropouts'!. Today's environment (music, social, political, etc!.) is completely different than it was forty five years ago, with the advent of modern technology that isolates people more even as it makes communication instant!. I am writing this to you, and yet it is impossible to impart the experience to you personally!. There was no Yahoo Answers back then that you could go to for immediate response!. People actually had to TALK with their mouths as opposed to their fingers on a keyboard and mouse!. Make sense!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

See it in the Sky
It's frozen in time
It's still piveting
It hasn't met it's prime
They count that as a crime
Ticking clocks around their necks
You're not fast enough
Round yourself you little specks!
We have no balances and no checks
Here we know you
everyone's the same
Here we'll show you
Until everyone turns the same shade
Don't you see it in the sky!?
it's there,don't touch!
It'll be too high
Why even try!?
There was my sucky attempt at lyrics!. not very psychedelic!. =/
