Question: Is there more to being a great MC than just being a great lyricist!?
I really think so because if not then I don't see 2Pac even being mentioned as a great MC, but that's a whole different subject that I asked in another question!.!.!. This would also mean that the Inspectah Deck would be the third or maybe even second best MC in the Wu Tang Clan wouldn't it!? Would do you guys think makes an MC great!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

YEA 2PAC WUD B NUTHIN SPECIAL!. Wut I mean is, being a great lyricist means u can rap but it dont mean u can MC!.!.!. MCing means being a Master of Ceremonies or Moving da Crowd, and u wont b doing neither of those if u just standin in front of a large audience readin lyrics from ya rhyme book wit no DELIVERY or FLAVOR wud u!? U have 2 take into account many things 2 consider sum1 a great MC!. Among those things r: Lyricism, Delivery and Flow(clear and concisiveness), Flavor, Charisma, Vocal Presence(power of da voice, breath control), and da Complexity of da rhymes etc!. Great lyricism is da basis 4 longetivity!. If sum1 can be complex(metaphors, vocabulary and wutnot), clever, witty, and precise wit their lyrics consistently then that person can have a long career ahead of em!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
To be "one of the greatest" I think you have to consistently write and perform lyrics that get recognition from hip hop authorities like hip hop heads, radio DJ's, media personalities and of course your peers!. And for a number of years too!.
