I second Nightwish, Within Temptation, Lacuna Coil, and The Birthday Massacre!. :D

I also recommend Ayria, Zombie Girl, and The Dresden Dolls!. I love Emilie Autumn, and those are some of the bands I like as well!. For a male-fronted band, try Vanity Beach!.
