Question: When you go to see a solo singer/musician perform do you want to hear cover tunes or original music!?
I am a singer/songwriter/musician that is looking at getting into performing on a regular basis!. Been playing guitar for over 27 years, and singing and writing songs even longer!. I would like to get out and start performing regularly, and would prefer to play my originals, but am interested in hearing from people as to what they like to hear when they go see a solo artist perform!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think it would be cool to hear a mixture of your songs along with covers!. Hopefully, when you do covers, you can do them in your style!. Maybe you can do covers of songs that were hits but people have forgotten about!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
i think it's refreshing to hear someone else's take on another song, especially when the artist is new!. its kind of like connecting with the audiences because (for new artists) they've never heard your songs and we as humans long for familiarity!. doing a cover of a song in your own style connects us to something we know while being exposed to your own unique sound!. i'd suggest a cover or two intertwined in there somewhere!. I think it's nice to have a lot of origionals, but it's sometimes nice to hear a song you know and can sing along to it!.

Depending on your crowd!.!.!.how well they know your music!.!.!.if they know you already!.!.!.make it about 70% you, 30% cover!.!.!.!.if they don't know you so much!.!.maybe reverse it!. It's always cool to have one or two cover songs that you do alot in your own styleWww@Enter-QA@Com
