While Jimi was definately one of the best that ever hit the planet, The Beatles were more of an influence on the world of music as a whole!.
Before the Beatles, most recording artists had to play and sing the songs that the record labels gave them, that were written by whatever staff song writer they had available!. The Beatles (after their first album) wrote all of their own music and were ultimately successful at it!.
They also wrote music for other srtists!. The Rolling Stones very first single was I Wanna Be Your Man was written by John and Paul, and was sung by Ringo, but not released as a single for the song writers!.
Besides!.!.!.The song Yesterday (the Beatles) has been recorded over 3,000 times!. How can you beat that!?

The Beatles!. At the time, music was boring!. Music was basically surf music until the Beatles!. The Beatles open the door for the Stones, the Animals etc!. Jimmy was great, but there were alot of guitarists at THAT time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
