EQ pedal or pickup booster?!

Question: EQ pedal or pickup booster!?
I am thinking of getting an EQ pedal like the EHX knockout to change my tele sound to a les paul sound!. However, I came across this seymour duncan pickup booster!. Thinking that it is a company which is specialised in pickups, it might quite suitable for my purpose!. But I still got a humbucker guitar at home!. I could use the Knockout to boost each one!. For the pickup booster, I could only change my tele!. Can someone give me suggestions!? Thanks a lot!!! :)Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:

An EQ pedal is more versatile - you can use it before and after distortion pedals to shape your tone, you can turn it into an ad hoc booster pedal for soloing, you can approximate acoustic guitar tones, etc!.

If you want a Les Paul sound, I would put a chunky humbucker or maybe a set of Hot Rails in that tele, it would give you a truer sound than the booster!.

You can use the pickup booster on the humbucker, too, it's just that the sound will be much darker/duller with more bass!. Nothing stopping you except knowing how to turn it into a usable tone!.
