What is with all these 13 years old acting like they're old enough to vote?!

Question: What is with all these 13 years old acting like they're old enough to vote!?
I was looking through questions, and I saw one about 3 pages back were someone asked who you are voting for and how old you are, and it got dominated by a bunch of 13 year olds saying they would vote for Obama!. LMAO, If you are 13 then you can't vote so why would you say "Obama, 13!." It's just like when 13 year olds talk about who's side they were on during the 2pac biggie beef even though they were like 2 years old when it was going on!. I don't have anything against these young kids, but I find it kind of funny when they don't act their age!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
It was a "who are you going to/who would you vote for" type of question!.

I've never seen a 13 year old kid go around and say "Oh yeah, I was down wit Pac", because that would be really, really, stupidWww@Enter-QA@Com

Well first of all I do understand what you are saying about Children not acting their age!. I think a Child should be just that a Child!. They will have plenty enough time to be "grown ups"!.
However I do find it interesting that Children are learning about the election and the government!. I think it is important b/c they are the future and the sooner they find out just how politics work the better off they will be later on when they can vote!.
Lets give the kids props! Www@Enter-QA@Com

hah!. yehh i do too!. not only because they just pick who they think is cool but because they don't know what's really going on in the world!. they don't have to worry about the economy or war or anything like that!. but, oh well!.!.what can ya do!? and whats sad is that most kids know more about whats going on in the world than people that can vote!. >!.< Www@Enter-QA@Com

Liberal and left wing television display a lot of these 13 year olds idols running around and donning VOTE OBAMA tops!.

Just the other day you had Hayden Pannettiere and Justin Timberlake running a VOTE OBAMA rally for Obama!.

Can you blame kids in that sense to want to be apart of these elections!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

It does amuse me!. I think it's fair that they can support the Republican party/Democratic party!. I think for a 13-year old to be intrested in politics period is impressive!. It's not something i would look down on!. Good question, though you have a point in a substantial way!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

just because someone isnt 18 doesnt mean they cant have an opinion im 17 and cant vote but i will support my pick for president as much as i can without voting, trying to get friends to vote, try to sway votes, being 18 and over doesnt mean your the only people that care about politics!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

well actually most eighth graders are pretty involved in this stuff!. like for homework we have to watch the debates and answer questions about them!. so u are wrong we are acting our age and u just don't know that cause we 8th graders now learned SO MUCH MORE THEN U DID WHEN U WERE 13Www@Enter-QA@Com

the question stated:
"Who would you/are you voting for!? Age!?"

that being said!.!.if the people stated their age, and answered according to the question, how are they not acting their age!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

lmao!!

they kids!. let them be!. it's their way to feel like they are doing good deeds!. lol

its good to see kids talking politics!. its better for kids to know politics right now, so they can be well nourished with information when they are old enough!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Im 14 and I said Obama!. Im just saying if I was able to vote thats who I would vote for!. I know about all the stuff thats going on in the economy and wall street and Iraq and all that!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

maybe it's because all the old washington/wall street idiots can't handle their job and screwed the younger kids' future over, and they kinda want something to be done about it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

LOL

Becuase They want to feel like they have some sort of power in their hands, and that they have a voice equal to adults!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

They say: they would, if they could!. That's just an opinion, buddy!. What's so wrong about that!?
I would too, if I was American!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

13 yr olds are acting their age and its actually a good thing that they want to be involed in politics! lol ur lameeeeeeeee!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Cuz the question said ''Who WOULD you/ are you going to vote for''

So what's the problem!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

they want to be involved toWww@Enter-QA@Com

Actually thats a good thing, we'll have more voters in the future!.

Www@Enter-QA@Com

well if you didnt know some schools are signing up for that big teen mock election Www@Enter-QA@Com

The question was "if you could or are who would you vote for!?"Www@Enter-QA@Com

im 13 but i still have my opinionWww@Enter-QA@Com

@ least their showing some interest!. They are us citizens too!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Umm, I disagree with it being because "I want to have power in my hands because as a little teenager, that's impossible right now!." It's more like we know that it's a big deal who the next president is because after Bush for 8 years, people are gripping about the next one being the right choice!. It's a big deal!. I just read a sort of response to this question in my high school newspaper yesterday!. It said something along the lines of "Today's teenagers are concerned about global warming, the war in Iraq, etc!. That's why they are trying to be involved with politics, because even though it'll be years before they can vote, they still want to be informed!."

I don't keep up with politics or current events though so it doesn't matter what I think, but a lot of the 14-year-olds in my class actually watch the debates and more!. So I think that you shouldn't find it funny, but try to take teenagers a little seriously because they're making an effort to not make dumb choices when they grow up and can vote!. Isn't it great that a lot of young people care about politics now!? =) It's like what they teach you in history class- you learn it so you don't repeat it, and that's the same with current events!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yeah i do understand you!. its kinda funny that you mentioned the biggie/tupac thing! cuz its so true!
even though im 14, i feel like all the obama stuff affects me GREATLY!. first of all, my parents are kenyan, so its a big deal in kenya that barack obama might be the u!.s!. prez!. 2nd, when i turn 18 in 2012, i'll be voting, so i guess i'm seeing what type of president i want!. 3rd, it makes kids feel good, as if they have a say, when they ultimately dont!. 4th, all us kids have ever seen is white president, white president, george washingston, white president!. so it's amazing for us to think, "hmm, in a few years it'll be white president, white president, george washingston, white president, BARACK OBAMA!"

sorry i wrote a lot!. but i hope you get what i mean!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Oh, I know!.!.!.I made a similar comment about how we are lucky that most of Obama's supporters are just kids who believe what Miley Cyrus and other celebrities tell them to think!.!.!.LOL!Www@Enter-QA@Com
