But ya, if you don't wanna play bass, you could do that too!. The Doors didn't have a bassist and the were the greatest band of all time!. But you should probably be really amazing at least one instrument!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I believe the John Spencer Blues Explosion Had two guitars, no bass!. They did have a theramin and a killer drummer!. Since you will be playing an alternative to rock, I would say go for it!.!.!.be daring and break the rules!.
Before I died and my flesh rotted off I was in a hipster band with two bass players and no guitars!. I played the drums, and the girls swooned!. Now I am undead and ugly, and bitter!.!.!.!.so I play angry death metal!. My point is don't second guess yourself, go with your gut now, before you get old and say "I could have been in a ground breaking band, but instead I'm just a lurp!."Www@Enter-QA@Com

You could, but you wouldn't have that true sound that a bass player adds to music!. The bass player plays a bigger part than they get credit for!. They have a lot to do with the timing and rhythm of a band!. This is my opinion though, others may disagree!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Well let's see, The Black Keys, The White Stripes, and The Doors don't have bass players yet they all (besides the Doors) are doing extremely well!. So no, you'll do fine without a bass player!. Good Luck with that:)Www@Enter-QA@Com
Yeah, you could pull it off!. As long as you do a good job distributing the guitar parts!.
Look at the white stripes!. There is no bassist, but Jack white still does an incredible job making a full sound!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
