Or are you hesitant to say to your Kid Rock-fan friends that you hate that musician, because you want to be respected, even through little things like that!?

If someone likes a band I hate I only say something if I've known them for a while!. If they hated a band I liked I wouldn't want them to complain about how much they hate them, so I try to do the same!.
But if I've known them for a while I make it known I hate a specific band!. For example, I've known 2 of my friends for 6 or 7 years and they like the Jonas Brothers!. Normally I would never associate with people of such terrible taste but I've known them since before any of us had good taste in music so its okay!. And they are aware why I hate the Jo Bros and they're okay with it!.

Proud of!? No!. Ashamed of!? also no!. I dislike the Beatles and I'm neither proud nor ashamed of it!. But for instance, I can't handle any of my friends singing along to any of their MCR songs they're listening to on their iPod, so I clearly let them know that that's a band I strongly dislike and I would appreciate it if they just be quiet!.
I also sometimes tend yo start arguments on how I can't tolerate them talking about the band and how their fans are way too obsessive just like my friends!. But that's the furthest I go on speaking out my opinion!.

I don't think you should be proud or ashamed of loathing a band!. And, I don't mind telling people that I dislike a certain band, but I don't let it come between my friends and me!. I do have friends who listen to mainstream hiphop and pop!. I don't care and I don't think of myself any better than them!. =)

I mean com'on they suck hairy balls XD I ofcourse listened to them before making these judgments!!
But when I'm really close to this friend, I just pin out what i hate about them and leave my friend alone, lmao!!
I'm in a new school, my class mates know that I can't stand them talking about Miley cyrus (weird, they're between 16-17 yrs old :-S) and Jobros!

No I don't do that, I tell my friends or anyone straight up if I like a band or not!. On one hand I love the bashed band "Korn" and f*ck any1 else who says otherwise and im not afraid to tell someone that I don't like their fave little band:)

I only say something about my hate for the Jonas Brothers when someone says something about them (for example, yesterday in biology class we had to come up with a team name and this girl suggested "Jonas Brothers Lovers!" my friend said "YEAHHH!" me and some other girl: "NO!. Just!.!.!.!. NO!.") or I have to listen to their music!. Same goes for other bands!.
