Good Question, very good question!. I have not heard that song Pers so I will have to look into that I have actually never even really LISTENED to APC because of my not so much liking of Tool but hey I am always open to a first listen!.

Where The Wild Roses Grow - Nick Cave
Henry Lee - Nick Cave (has already been mentioned by someone else!.Great choice!)
Pretty much about 75% of Nick Cave's work - the rest is funny as hell!

There is also a band called The Black Heart Procession who have many haunting and beautiful songs!.

Radiohead have alot of amazing beautiful songs that have an eerie and haunting feeling to them!. One of my favourites is How To Disappear Completely off the album Kid A!. also Exit Music (For A Film) and Street Spirit are good examples of Radiohead's ability to write chilling and inspiring songs!.
