Question: Does Cradle of Filth give symphonic black metal (simply black metal, in general) a bad name!?

No, I mean if you say that, then you might as well say the same thing for Dimmu Borgir, Immortal, and Satyricon!. I mean, I don't care what Black Metal elitists say!. It seems like any exposure to the media is a failure to the Black Metal community!.

Cradle of Filth does have some talented musicians, but they change to Gothic Metal certainely lost them respect of diehard Black Metal fans!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Alot of elitist black metal fans hate them because they signed on to a popular label!. The same one as Dragonforce, if I'm not mistaken!.
To answer your question, no, not for me anyways!. They definitely have some good songs and I know they have talent!.
The people that are listening to Cradle of Filth (and no other BM bands) probably haven't dug deep in the metal world and haven't discovered any other bands!. They just settle for the popular one!. It's sad, I know, but it's true!.

I don't think so!. I honestly can't stand much true black metal!. The vocals are annoying and the guitaring is bland!. Atleast Cradle of filth gives it some individuality!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
