Help! What's the R&B female singer's name that used to sing gospel? ?!

I can't think of her name or the name of the song!!! She had a video out some years back (early 2000's) where she is mad about her man doing her wrong!. Great voice!. Brown/dark skinned, big boned (thick), pretty face, long dark hair with big loose curls!. She gets in argument at one point with her man over the phone - he is in the car on cell phone with another girl!.!.!. at the end of the video, another man knocks on her door and she lets him in!. She has smile on her face!.!.!. looks at the camera and smiles to 'us'!. Here hair is long and straight in this shot!. It looks like she is in a contemporary type apartment through out the video!. Lounging on couch, in one part she has on a velour sweatsuit!.!.!. hair swooped up!. I remember looking her up long ago since I liked her singing and since I had heard nothing from her up until that point (and nothing since) and read that she used to sing gospel and even had an album or two released!.!.!. help!!!
