How!?!?!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Singing from your diaphragm is the loose term for support!. This is when you pull your stomach in as you are singing to help give you a richer timbre and louder sound without straining your voice!. The key is to pull your stomach in as you sing and push it out as you breathe in!. To learn how to support (sing from the diaphragm) is the most useful thing to learn as a singer so i will give you some exercises and warm-ups to help, don't forget it will take a lot of hard work and a while before you get it exactly!.
Start by warming up with lip rolls to a scale, took me ages to even get one note but you will get this with time and practise and it is well worth it!. Keep your stomach in as you are warming up with this one and try to keep a constant stream of air to keep the sound up!. Another very good warm-up to help exercise your stomach is to start on a "v" sound and, still on a "v" go up a major third and slowly open into an "ah" sound!. For this one you will need to keep your stomach pulled in the whole time!.
Now, choose a song you know well, it doesn't matter what it is and sing it through as you usually would!. Now, try again but pull in your stomach when you are singing!. It will feel a little strange at first but you will get used to it!. This is basic support but it won't get you far without proper breathing!.
Now, place your hands just below your ribcage and breathe in slowly, imagine as if the air is filling you up slowly from your toes upwards!. You will feel your stomach expand!. This is good, it is supported breath!. Try singing through the song again, but every time you breathe in, push your stomach out!. This gets more air in!. Forget the filling you up thing for now and imagine as if your stomach is expanding sideways instead of outwards!. The other technique you practised above is useful for long rests in a song or for coming in!. Remember to start breathing a few bars before you have to come in!.
Now, you will have learnt basic support and breathing!. The next thing you must learn is how to support with proper technique!. So, sing through the song again, pushing your stomach out as you breathe but as you are singing, don't pull it in instantly, pull it in gradually as you sing, before pushing it out and starting again at the next breath!. This forces the air out of you better and is a proper technique!.
The last thing left to learn is something i call "pulsating"!. For this, use a song that jumps around a lot and has lots of big gaps between notes!. Every time you come across a sudden high or low note or a big gap, pull your stomach in suddenly hard!. Remember to leave space to do this, even just before a breath!. This "pulsating" makes sudden notes easier to reach!.
This may look like a lot to learn but it is actually quite simple if you take it step by step!. Good luck! Hope this helpedWww@Enter-QA@Com

Try inhaling so your stomach pokes out!. That mostly engages your diaphragm!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
