Has the progression of music gotten better or worse over the past 50 years?!

Question: Has the progression of music gotten better or worse over the past 50 years!?
I don't know if I like how techno the music sound now, like club music!. It's like the music has lost it's soul, it's rawness!. Everything just seems like a way to make money, if it's hot then everyone starts to do it because it is popular!. no innovation, just the same formula, no originality or uniqueness!. all the bright hair and colorful clothes was supposed to be a way to stand out and be deviant but now it is just another fashion phase that will pass!. hollywood is always looking for the next best thing to chew up and spit out!. Better!. I think every single one of you need to quit being lazy and actually search for the real music, to be quite frank!. Do NOT judge all modern music on what is being played on the radio or TV!. It does not accurately represent all music!.

I think it's gotten better because there is a much much MUCH wider variety of music now than there ever has been!. For instance:

Nightwish (symphonic metal from Finland)

Porcupine Tree (progressive rock from England)
http://www!.youtube!.com/watch!?v=6-th_7mBR!.!.!.

Ordo Funebris (ambient folk music from Spain)
http://www!.youtube!.com/watch!?v=w8TADUwdc!.!.!.

Ephel Duath (avant-garde metal w/ jazz influences from Italy)
http://www!.youtube!.com/watch!?v=xebUoYr5w!.!.!.

Loreena McKennitt (Celtic music from Canada)

Lyriel (folk metal from Germany)

Ashram (modern gothic classical music from Italy)

Dargaard (neoclassical darkwave from Austria)

Secret Garden (New Age classical music from Norway/Ireland)

Vienna Teng (piano pop from the U!.S!.)

I can only post 10 links, Yahoo won't let me do any more!. But just please remember - there is an entire WORLD of music out there!. Don't limit yourselves to whatever is being played to make a quick buck!. :(Www@Enter-QA@Com

You have to understand that music is extremely hard to evolve over time!. There are only so much notes you can play and only so much rhythms and riffs you can make!.

Personally, I think that yes, the progressions of music has gotten worse only because it's repeating itself!. Everyone now-a-days is remaking other peoples music and personally, that is the dumbest **** I have ever come across!. They want to be famous for "their music" by using someone else's genius creations!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Its got worse!.!.!.not a lot of bands play instruments anymore and most are synthesized electronically!. Techno/dance is good but there needs to be more also!.

Worse still!.!.MP3s don't hold enough data to give the real feeling of bass or instruments!. You need vinyl to achieve the real sound!.!.its has more sound info!. on it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Worse!.
The best era for music as far as I'm concerned is the mid-60's to mid-70's!.

I agree with the other poster that remakes are the worst thing ever!. I've never heard a remake of a song that I liked, although 'sampling' (I think it's called) can be interesting!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
