Question: R&B poll: Do you prefer to hear your favorite artists live or in recording!?
Answers:
I would prefer live, but R&B artists don't sound good in big venues!. They have to be in smaller, more intimate venues to showcase their voice and give the couples there that intimacy!. I love when R&B artists use jazz-type bands!. It's more relaxing!. House of Blues would be a perfect example (at least the one in West Hollywood)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I have always judged my favorite artists ability to REALLY sing by their live performances!. Being a child of the Motown, Stax, & Atlantic Eras, the artists grew up singing live in the streets of their neighborhoods or in their church choirs!. There are just too many "tricks" used in the recording studios these days that are masking flaws and enhancing limited abilities!.!.!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
I like having a personal recording of an artist!.!.!.!.!. BUT I think you GOT to perform LIVE at some point!!!

Oh hard to say, but my favorite singer Marvin Gaye's live version of Distant Lover, is a whole lot better than the studio version!. I mean you can really feel the essence of his pain of missing his better half!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I dont listen to R&B but I listen to rock and metal and I would rather her most of the bands live rather than on the CD!. Bands like Linkin Park, Metallica and Shinedown all sound amazing live, better then in recoding!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Recording for sure, no one sounds as good live as they do recorded!. There is a reason they record in the first place and that is to sell records and sound their absolute best!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
