Answers:
Ibanez is better in my opinion!.
If you play a lot of different styles - go with the Ibanez!.
If you're playing mainly classic rock or punk rock - I'd go for the Epiphone, though!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

First Link: has excellent pickups, If you want to hear the clearest & crunchiest sound for an electric!. Choose a guitar that has "active" pickups!. You can also look good on it!. Metal, hard rock you will stand out (see first link)
2nd link: I used to have this guitar, it screams and it never let me down!. If you want a more flashy guitar, choose this
3rd link: You can also try this one if you are into SG body types
Use your money wisely, If your playing metal or hard rock make sure that you have active pickups so you could stand out!.
Ibanez is better that epiphones in the same price range but I recommend that you research more!. If you have $600+ dollars to spend, try to get the guitar that has the highest quality (sound & Playability) in that price range, you might get dissapointed with epiphones playability & sound!.
Use your money wisely!. I wish you the best, keep on playingWww@Enter-QA@Com

Layne is right!. If you like to incorporate many styles (which good guitarists know how to play all, from funk to metal and in between) then the Ibanez is better!. Gibsons and Epiphones are good, but are too warm for many play styles!. Plus they are heavier than an Ibanez (in weight not play style)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I would get the epi for sure!. I have the gibson sg classic and I like it a lot!. If you can kick out a couple more duckets I would spring for the gibson just because if you ever want to sell it you can get most if not all of your money back!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
i would go with the sg!.
They have a variety of sounds!.
I don't like signiture models!.
I wouldn't get the ibanezWww@Enter-QA@Com
