They were both AMAZING!. But The Doors are my favorite band of all time!. Their music is so unique and there has never been a band quite like them, and probably never will be!. Ray was just brilliant!. I listen to Riders On the Storm and Light My Fire and think "wow!.!.!." I play piano, but I could never play like him!. Robbie was also great, his jazzy guitar playing really made their sound perfect!. John is one of the only drummers I idolize!. He could really fill a song, and the band wouldn't have been the same without him!. And of course Jim was incredible!. He was the greatest frontman of all time!. He was poetic, intelligent, intriguing, wild, attractive, charismatic, and didnt conform to anyone's ideals but his own!. He made the band's performances legendary, and changed the world of music!. Sure, he was a bit of a drunk and was into drugs!. But it's how he chose to live his life, and he still produced some of the greatest music of all time!. Should it matter what he did with his personal time!? He was the quintessential rockstar and there will never be another like him!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The Beatles!. They were changing everything!. They made huge strides in the studio: ADT, reversing tracks, tape loops, etc!. John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison were all superb songwriters!. Most bands stay the same throughout their whole career, but The Beatles went from Liverpool club band playing in The Cavern, to The Fab Four; where they were every girl's dream, to psychedelic pioneers who took their art seriously!. The Doors, were okay!. Jim Morrison is (in my opinion) overrated as a songwriter, but he was a great singer and a better frontman than John Lennon or Paul McCartney!.

For my money, the Beatles just did so much, covered so many sounds and were so successful in creating them (more so I mean they were good at it, but they did sell an awful lot of records)!. They pushed the limits, and 3 of the 4 of them (no offense Ringo) were 3 of the best songwriters in rock and roll's history!. The things they accomplished in the studio!. That, and I don't think it's really said, but they were so experimental!. They took risks as a band!. As I say a lot around here, not to be "the Beatles are the greatest band ever" guy, but the Beatles are the greatest band ever!.
The Doors are ok!. They have a couple songs I really enjoy, and a lot of stuff that I can appreciate, but on the whole I don't really put them in the same class as the Beatles!. Maybe it's just a personal hang-up with Jim Morrison or something, but something about the Doors that bugs me a little bit!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I love both bands!. I'm only fourteen but grew up with the music being played 24/7, and I have to say that the Beatles changed music into what it is today by what they did!. They wrote albums upon albums about peace, sex, drugs, life, love, whatever, you name it!. But something about their music drew people in, and clearly revolutionized music as it is today!.

The Beatles destroy The Doors!. More creative, more diverse, more interesting overall!. This is my opinion, of course!.

Oh no, such great bands!. Such a tough decision!. I have to go with the Beatles!. I like their music better, and I think they had a major impact on the world!. Although the Doors was an amazing band!. Too bad Jim had to die!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
