Decades from now, what bands of today will people look back on as Classic?!
Question: Decades from now, what bands of today will people look back on as Classic!?
What are some notably good, modern, mainstream bands that are worthy of being remembered!? Is my generation really damned to be remembered for Fall Out Boy and Nickelback!?

I am trying my best *not* to sound like one of those elitist Classic Rock fans here, but, to me, only the bands & artists currently classed as Classic Rock will *ever* be 'Classic Rock' {cut-off point is 1979}!.
The bands from today will have to be identified by another label, such as :
'Modern Classic' or 'Contemporary Classic'
As for actual bands, I'm still at a loss as to just what classes as 'mainstream' {I'm guessing bands played on the radio a lot!?}, but from the last 11 years of so I would suggest :~
Blackmore's Night
Arctic Monkeys *
Snow Patrol **
Wolfmother *
Sandi Thom
* = good, but not to my taste
** = as above, except for 'Chasing Cars'
{list is short as I'm only going with those who originated from 1997+}

The same ones that are classics now!.!.!.!.!.!. (While growing up in the 80's)all the same 'classic bands' are still the same they have been for decades!.
But for newer bands!.!.!. no not FOB!.(personal opinion) But I think there will be a resurgence with bands like paramore, and mudvayne, and others like that!. As well as a resurgence of Hip-hop like Kanye, Mary J, etc!.
And I think stuff like Maroon 5 will be played (just like how REO Speedwagon is) LOL!.

Well, I'll never look back at this time when I'm like 50 and think "ahh they were a great band, what a classic" I don't enjoy the music today!.!.!.and I most likely won't enjoy the music of tomorrow!.!.!.I'll always like the music from the 70's and 80's!.!.!.You just can't find any good music like that anymore!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
