Dilla is by FAR the most orginal RHH producer ever!. He compiled a mix of incredible samples, and just random noises, and unique bass!.!. it really worked too!. RIP!.!.!. He was very influecnial, he really set the tone, and laid the ground work for that kind of producing!. some people have said that Nas picks beats that arent that great so that it doesnt take people away from actually listening to what he has to say, and i almost feel that way about Jay Dee!.!.!. sometimes i would rather not have someone spitting over one of his beats b/c it takes away from its brilliance!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Prince Paul is the most original producer of all time IMO!.

He introduced live instrumentation to hip hop with Stetsasonic, was one of the pioneers of the native tongues movement with De La Soul, which was a sound that dominated the early 90s, not to mention the De La albums were very original of themselves and Prince Paul introduced the skit!. Then after De La, he teamed up with RZA to make the Gravediggaz album which was pretty much the birth of Horrorcore rap (a sub-genre that is still popular)!. Then in his solo projects you have albums like "A Prince Among Thieves" which is arguably the most original hip hop album ever!. And if you haven't heard it, the best way to describe it would be a rapping musical cause the entire 31 tracks is one story!.

Other than Prince Paul, RZA is probably the next most original producer IMO!. Which I don't think deserves as long as an explanation because most people are familiar with what he's done!.

also, I'll just throw Dan The Automator's name out there, cause he's definitely up there and completely overlooked!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Dilla - He used crazy samples and his style was unique!. He influenced the entire Neo Soul movement with his heavy and dragging bass-lines!.

Primo - He was largely influential on a new generation of producers and his music library is sick!.

9th - Used a simple program like FL studios and made some of the hottest beats of the past 5 years!. His sampling skills are right next to Dilla's in my opinion!.

Marley Marl - Influenced the bridge wars, and his productions skills were also influential to Pete Rock and Primo!. He produced legendary songs for Rakim, Da Youngstas, LL, Kool G Rap, among others!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I gotta go with Premo!.
He mastered the sampling technique and made the beat and lyrics come together!.!.
Everything from his scratches to his drum, bass, and snare usage was on point!.
And he's influenced many other DJ's into using his style!.
I love the "Nas is Like" beat because i've never heard someone use bird chirps and ambience noises to create a beat like that!.
There are many other examples but im not gonna get into them cuz its too many!.
But yea, Premo is my choice!.
