You are right!.!.i miss the old stuff as well!.!.not to say that i dont admire the new school, but it seems like they are forgetting about the people who helped paved the way: Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder,Smokey Robinson,Ray Charles,James Brown,Sly Stone, Curtis Mayfield,Earth,Wind and Fire,and etc!!!!!!

The old R&B style is apparently no longer appealing to the new generations!. Signing artists with that style isn't happening often!. I think if someone came along with a smooth, sexy style similar to what Marvin Gaye had, and if a band was produced that was able to utilize horns as well as the standard instruments like EW&F, they would be a hit!. But until then, we just have to keep listening to the oldies and VERY goodies!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I'm 54 and remember the music on the radio from the 50's!. As far as I can see it's about the money!. The artists from the day can still sing!. The record companies don't cater to the people that can actually buy that music!. What a shame! There are some good R & B singers of this day as well!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
